After the huge success of our Easter Retreat…

We have decided to add a second date this year our signature experience - Rewild with your Child. An offering that includes TWO adults and up to TWO children in the price, so you can bring along partners, friends or family members - anyone who you see as part of your village - and enjoy an incredible array of workshops and activities curated all.

This time we are hosting a 2 night experience during the summer holidays so you can enjoy longer days and warmer climes for your glamping adventure!

This is a family gathering where family can be embodied in many ways. You are equally welcome to come solo with your child and you can rest assured that the community will support you to have the experience you need. There are always many loving arms to help Mamas out on a Theta Retreat.

So come and put your feet on the bare earth. Share food in the open air and sleep amongst the trees.

Breathe in the medicine of Mother Nature.

Imagine…

Waking up in a luxury tent or cabin the woods, sharing a delicious breakfast with your new retreat family, before handing over your child to our experienced and qualified Forest School Leaders where they will have their imagination ignited with nature-based play and adventure. You will so enjoy a blissful morning of yoga or perhaps a breathwork and ice bath session before making the most of the traditional, wood fired sauna or heading for a walk and a wild swim.

A delicious, vegetarian lunch follows before you reunite with your child for an afternoon of quality time and connection - with singing, kids yoga, & fireside marshmallows all planned in for you to enjoy.

After the littles are safely asleep, our trusted local babysitters arrive - enabling you to fully bliss out at the evening sound healing session or perhaps arrange a massage treatment with our incredible therapist.

We have an indoor swimming pool on site that guests will have access to at various times, plus an extra evening sauna session for the sauna die-hards - it’s a 2 night getaway that’s jam packed in the most restful & restorative way!

“My little girl announced one morning, upon waking in the tent, that she never wanted to go home. My partner and I were already discussing making it an annual trip before it was over!

If you’re looking for something truly special and unique, deeply restorative and restful this is it. This is the stuff that core memories are made of”

The Food

Our fabulous chefs cook beautiful, seasonal vegetarian food and bake magnificent cakes! With nourishing and delicious menus for the little ones and creative, mouth-watering options for adults, we always ensure they is plenty of choice and plenty of food at every meal.

Parents will eat lunch together and kids will be with their childcarers and for dinner we all club together at 6pm, before settling little people for bedtime.

*You may submit any dietary requests at the time of booking or feel free to email over any questions/concerns

The Childcare

We know how vital it is that you feel confident leaving your little one in the hands of a new person. Our child minding team is very carefully selected and contains qualified Forest School practitioners, along with compassionate carers - all with extensive experience working in Early Years education and outdoor play.

The childcare hours are from 9am - 2pm and your child will be given a snack and lunch. Every child will be assigned a dedicated carer, with ratios of 2 or 3 children to 1 childcarer.

We welcome children of all ages but we do ask that babies under 2 years old require 1:1 childcare at a small additional investment.

The forest school mornings are outdoor - rain or shine! Please pack appropriate weather gear for our UK summertime, including sunscreen and waterproofs.

“My kids loved it! They really liked Meg. I love them being able to just be outside, safe & exploring” - Lisa

 FAQs

  • We welcome children of all ages - even babies! (Although we do request that babies under 2 years require 1:1 childcare at an investment of £250). The forest school will have activities for everyone and our chefs can cater for babies eating purees or following BLW. Most children are between the ages of 2 & 6. If you have any queries don’t hesitate to contact Jocie

  • Yes the Farm has a handful but they are on a first come, first served basis! Please specify when booking if you need them. (Please not that cot bedding does not come with the cots so please do pack a sheet and blanket for your baby).

  • Yes! We have cows milk, oat milk and if you need another alternative you may specify this on booking. There is a solar fridge in the kitchen which is just a short walk from most of the tent sites.

  • Campwell Farm is off-grid so there is no WiFi - however there is 4G so you are able to use internet on your phone.

  • Yes we have a few solar powered charge points dotted around the site and a dedicated one in Abels Cabin.

  • As there is no WiFi it is not possible to use traditional baby monitors - however we recommend using two phones on a video call to enable you to keep an eye on your little one during naps or in the evenings.

  • There is a lovely farm shop just down the road - a few mins drive or a walk across the fields!

  • Yes you will have access to a washing machine and dryer but we request that you please bring your own washing powder/liquid.

  • Shower towels are provided, along with bed linen but please bring a swim towel if you intend to swim in the pool or in the nearby swim spots.

  • Campwell is situated near the village of Winsley, which is just 15 minutes drive from Bath. The nearest train stations are Bradford on Avon (3 miles) and Bath (5 miles).

  • Yes absolutely. A non-refundable deposit is required on booking (transferrable if you find a somebody to take your spot) and the remaining fee can be paid in up to 3 instalments with final payment due 6 weeks before the retreat.

  • We hear you! Of course our UK weather can be a little unpredictable but every Bell tent, Yurt & Cabin has a little wood burner which are very effective when lit. We will keep you stocked up with wood and can also provide extra blankets & bedding if you feel the cold more, but we also recommend bringing an additional sleeping bag if you are concerned. In our experience, children tend to feel the cold a lot less - and a lovely hot shower - surrounded by nature - is sure to warm the cockles on cooler mornings!
