What to Expect

on a Theta Retreat

The Yoga

Whether you are a beginner to yoga, have a regular practice, or something in between - Jocie’s classes are designed to support and nurture you. With no strict rules or dogma, her intention is to guide you into the intuitive, finding what movement works for your body and helping ground you fully in your breath so you can open up to presence. You can read more about Jocie and her yoga here!

“Possibly one of my favourite yoga experiences to date. I’ve been practicing for years but Jocie touched on new territory. I loved the flow and the energy she created for us.”
— Natalya

The Childcare

We know how vital it is that you feel confident leaving your little one in the hands of a new person. Our childcare team is a very carefully selected group of qualified nannies, Forest School leaders, Early Years education facilitators and child minders. The morning are curated by our team leader and are always relaxed, child-led and focussed on nature-based play.

The childcare hours are from 9am - 1pm and your child will be given a snack and lunch. Every child will be assigned a dedicated pair of loving arms, with ratios of 2 or 3:1 depending on their age. We are always understanding and sensitive to nervous children on the first morning - and we find that by day 2 and day 3, everyone has settled perfectly.

The Food

We know how important the food is in a retreat setting and we work with two incredible chef teams on the majority of our retreats. Meals are creative, delicious and plentiful and our guests often say that the food is one of the highlights of the week!

Breakfast is a communal affair, then adults will eat lunch together - (hurrah - adult conversations that can actually be finished!) - and children will be with their childcarers. Dinner is altogether again, before winding down the littles for bedtime. Our chef are always flexible and understanding of selective eaters and we ask for kiddie preferences before every retreat.

Menus are usually vegetarian - sometimes with meat & fish options - you may submit any dietary requirements at the time of booking
